Sparkling Hard Cider Sangria + Crunchy Apple & Goat Cheese Crostini
Our Sparkling Hard Cider Sangria is a festive addition to any holiday party or gathering. Light, refreshing and easy-to-make this is your go-to, big-batch drink for the fall. The flavors of apple and cinnamon complement our creamy goat cheese crostini, add a pinch of honey for a sweet and savory finish.
Sparkling Hard Cider Sangria
Ingredients
2 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 cup cognac
2 cups apple cider
750ml bottle Clara's Reserve Hard Cider, chilled
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
Syrup or water
Cinnamon sticks and thyme sprigs for garnish
Method
Combine apple cider, Merchant's Daughter Clara's Reserve, cognac and apples in a large pitcher.
Stir gently and chill.
Combine cinnamon and sugar and put in a wide bowl or shallow plate.
Rim glasses with syrup or water and dip glasses in cinnamon mixture.
Fill glasses with ice and sangria, top with cinnamon stick and thyme sprig for garnish.
Crunchy Apple & Goat Cheese Crostini
Ingredients
1 baguette sliced into 12 pieces
Olive oil
Sea salt
Coarse black pepper
6 ounces goat cheese (we love edgewick farms!)
1-2 granny smith apples
Honey
Sprig of thyme for garnish
Method
Preheat oven to 350F.
Cut bread, brush with olive oil, toast lightly in the oven until lightly browned.
Spread a thin layer of goat cheese on each piece of bread, top with apple slice, salt and pepper.
Drizzle honey over each piece, top with sprig of thyme for garnish.
