Frozen Aperol & Cider Cocktail

A fun twist on the Aperol Spritz. This refreshing cocktail is as easy to make as it is to gulp down. Aperol lends a bitter-sweet note to the cider, creating a flavor that will quench your thirst in late summer and wouldn’t be out of place in early fall. Don’t forget cider is one of the most food-friendly beverages out there - add your favorite cheese plate for the perfect pairing.

Frozen Aperol & Cider Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Aperol

  • Merchant’s Daughter Cider (whichever variety you like best)

  • Orange Slices (for Garnish, Optional)

Method

  1. Combine equal parts Aperol and cider in a freezer-safe container, and freeze until the mixture develops an icy texture (it won’t completely solidify because of the alcohol and sugar content).

  2. Blend mixture with ice cubes and pour into glasses.

  3. Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy!

Note: For leftovers, simply refreeze and re-blend whenever you’re ready. The recipe can be made days or even weeks ahead of time.
